Hi All,

I've recently moved house and am looking for some advice regarding a turntable wall mount, as to what is suitable/the best option. The wall that is available is a stud wall dispersed at 450 mm intervals (did this through knocking, couldn't get the stud detector to work consistently). Will this type of wall - firstly be suitable for some wall mounts (have seen some state solid wall needed) and secondly give me the desired isolation? Just want to make sure I get it right before any investment. The turntable in question is the Pro-ject Xpression Carbon UKX.

Also open to other suggestions, currently have the amplifier and turntable (rotated at 90 degress due to limited space) on an IKEA kallax unit, which is not ideal I know. When I placed the turntable on the amplifier I wasn't happy at how hot it was all getting so that isn't a viable option.

Thanks

Ashley

Wall mount is highly recommended just need to get the right fixings if the stud spacing does not match shelf width. Do you have a separate phono preamp? If so get a twin shelf wall mount.

Ashley, look for DryLine Pro kit, www.drylinepro.com, I used one with my HiFi Racks shelf, and is for dry line walls, oddly enough! It includes drill bits, screws, screw cups and long wallplugs.

Or Rigifix, looking on Amazon.
