travel cases for plasma/LCD screens

Hi,

I'm moving house and would like to transport a 40" LCD TV safely. Can anyone recommend a hire shop based in London where I can get a sturdy travel case or flight case for doing so?

Thats one thing I'd move myself. Put it in the back of the car and, as I assume you've chucked your box, wrap it in padding and strap it in. You'll drive far more csrefully than your movers !!

If you were going further or flying etc, I'd say look into a Peli case - it's what I use for all my camera gear: tough as nails, completely vacuum sealed, large variety of sizes...but expensive. Look into camera hire stores, try Calumet, various branches around the UK, including EC1. They are into AV hire also, so I'm sure they will have something probably even more suitable than a Peli.

However, as andyb190 says above, can't beat the back seat of the car. Wrap it in a duvet ! I've done this numerous times with screens... SC
