To What Hi-FI staff - LG LHWH9601A

In the 2007 Awards edition, in the Home Cinema In a BOX (with DVD) you list the LG LHWH9601A. But I can find no mention of this on the Web or LG website. Was this a pre-release version that you tested? If not do you know where it is available from?

The reason for asking is that I am after a In a Boc solution that includes a DVD/HDD player/recorder and these seem fairly unusual

Hi Stuart,

As the Buyer's Guide notes, we tested this product in our February 2007 issue - which means it was tested last December. So i'm guessing the system's coming to the end of its product lifecycle. We do check these things with manufacturers, and LG hasn't told us the system is discontinued...but that sadly looks like the case.

LG does include recorder-based systems in its new range, but we haven't tested one yet, i'm afraid.
