Hi all, I want to upgrade my speaker cables for my front 3 MA Apex speakers. 2 x A10 and 1 x A40. I am looking for a highly musical and deatiled cable. My present cables are QED Silver Anniversary XT but I feel they are not detailed enough for me. I do believe cables make a sonic difference so am willing to spend the money on a good set. Any suggestions welcome.

Hi Cno,
I was hoping you would reply. I have done a bit of reading on the Telurium Q and they have taken my interest. As you know from previous posts I mainly use my system for multi channel music and then movies/sky hd only as can't be bothered to buy a blu ray player as I will only ever watch a film once!
Is there a huge sonic difference between the blue and black?
I do have to consider costs as I will need 12 meters in total.

IMO There is a difference, but the description of it is so personal and subjective, as to be nearly meaningless. There is also the synergy with your system, which is not always easy to predict.

The best I can say, is that I think the difference is big enough to be worth trying for yourself. You may well find the "Blue" gives most of what you want, as (IMO) it offers a level of performance greater than you would expect for the price.

One question, are you bi-amping?

Tha Apex are single wire only. I have to weigh up the benifits of how much £ investment over speakers capabilities. The Apex are a fantastic detailed fast mini monitor, they are described as a style system which to all intents and purposes they appear to be but they are in another league a true sub sat system. . Use 5 together and that's where the system blows you away. I will not be changing them as room size, small children will not allow. For these reason I want to squeeze every last bit of detail out of them.

Try the Blue, and see what you think; I believe most dealers have loan sets. Money can be saved by getting it without being terminated.

The only difference it will make is to reduce your bank balance, it certainly will not make your hifi sound any better.
