hi everyone was just setting my tv up with the thx optimiser and was following the instructions in the supplement that came with decembers magazine when i got to the colour and tint section the magazine actually shows the words colour and tint and how to set it up but on my copy all ive got is some blue lines which seems quite difficult to set up having the words version would seem a lot easier does anyone know which disc you can get this version on i am using the one on indiana jones any help would be appreciated thankyou

I think you need the THX glasses to see that screen properly? (It mentions these in the second paragraph of the article.)

thanks for your reply electroman yes ive got the glasses but all ive got is just the blue bars which are hard to set up i havent got the version with the words colour or tint in them im guessing this must be on the newer release dvd's

I used the version on the Attack of the Clones UK DVD, but I don't have the glasses so didn't bother with the colour test.

I'll check it again to see if I can make out any words on the colour test, and post back here tomorrow.

Just checked it - there are NO words in the colour test, just bars!

Maybe somebody from WHF could tell you which disc they used?

hi electroman the copy with the words colour and tint on it is the original that you can buy from thx themselves

Ah, according to their website the PAL version does not have the words on it, but the NTSC one does (maybe because only NTSC has a hue/tint setting).

In that case, you would need to try an NTSC version. I think I have it on an American DVD somewhere - I'll try to find it and let you know ...!
