As above; I've installed windows 10 on 3 of my pc/laptops and first impressions are really positive. 1 of my laptops is 6 years old and is a dell Inspiron and to be honest the windows 7 was really slow on this, but win10 is significantly faster. Compared to windows 8 I think Microsoft have got this OS right.

Any 1 else like to contribute...?

Now installed on 3 laptops and 3 desktops.

Worked perfectly on them all and certainly nice and nippy. I have found that downloading the full install files to a USB stick and doing a fresh install seems to work best though - gets rid of all the accumulated junk.

I have installed Win 10 on my PC this afternoon, but i have since found that opening WHF webpages took ages. However I can now see on this forum, that this is some new functionality added by the WHF website gurus, rather than an issue with Windows. *biggrin*

Yep I think it is good. The layout is nice and I think it's quicker than 8.1. Edge looks good but I still have to use IE mainly as my Bridge playing site uses a Java app and Edge doesn't support Java.

The only problems I had were with my Norton internet security which didn't work and I had to go to Norton for a fix which took a couple of hours. Then 2 days later the W10 security update killed it again.

The update took about 2 hours on my laptop but I know of others where it took 5 or 6 hours so it might be sensible to start it off when you go to bed.

Three things I don't like:

On edge:

If I right click on a picture in IE10 or IE11, and select Properties, I can copy'n'paste the link into a forum post like I could do here if it actually worked.

I can't seem to figure out how to save a downloaded PDF, say a stereo instruction manual.

That new application (Cortina? No, Cortana?) that's supposed to do anything but fetch you a cup of tea:

Reminds me of that sodding paperclip in Office 95 or 97 (I can't remember which) that was amusing for about 15 seconds then got really REALLY irritating.

Other than that, Windows 10 is superb. Windows 8 and 8.1, Vista all over again.
