thoughts on Wharfedale DS-1 ??

I am looking for a pair of speakers to use with my macbook pro.

How does Wharfedale DS-1 stand up against Ruark MR1?

any input is appreciated.

The MR1 is a delightful little Bluetooth speaker, well made, nice desktop sound. Just ridiculously priced.

But then so are pretty much all the lifestyle/computer/desktop systems produced by all the 'hi-fi' companies, the Wharfedale has the advantage of being cheap and cheerfull though.

A lot depends on how you want to drive them, if you have a decent analog output or are prepared to use a cheap usb dac, there are a number of quite potent active monitors available around the £150 mark or even less.
