thoughts on AE1 classic

Hi all,

Last couple of times I upgraded my speakers I wanted to demo ae1 but on both occasions none of the dealers had them in the shop.
so I just wanted to get some opinions on them.
Are Ae1s more comparable to the likes of cm5 and R300 or they being monitor, pmc 21 and studio 110?

Haven't heard of anyone on here using them but the guy from AE frequents ... infrequently on here.

They are pretty insensitive so your little Creek may huff and puff a little a high volumes.

There are a few online reviews.

I don't intend to buy them, just a little curious because you don't often hear many ppl talking about them.

Heard them years ago but what stuck with me is their incredible upper bass, so tight and fast sounding. Really as good as I've heard in that area. I don't think the highs are on quite the same level, nor do they dig deep but a wonderful speaker.
