i picked up my alpha 9 off a friend whoo had never used it it is 9/10 almost brand new but he never gave me a remote. How do i know if its a 9 or a 9r and if it is a remote one,is there a site which sells old remotes

If I recall correctly, the R versions actually had a lower case 'r' after the number.

got you thanks i have just the alpha then 9 no little r that makes. Never mind would of liked the remote idea. My friend has told me that the non-remote one sounds better not sure if thats true frank

Although I'm not sure that the remote versions actually had 9r on the badging. A phone call to Arcam with the serial number should reveal all...

The cheaper ones did, so I'm just assuming the 9 did too.
