This is unashamedly show off your headphone Amp and headphones thread.

My overdue addition to this thread, though I've posted elsewhere. Extremely satisfied with this combination and I have no reason to change anything.
So I bought a second set of headphones 😆

Feels good to have a couple of high-quality sets of headphones to rotate between. I am going out tonight so can't really have a full-on listen to these new HIFIMAN cans, but I'll give them a good run-out tomorrow.

OMG!
We're not worthy 😄
Really nice collection of headphones.
Which of those are your personal favourite?
I see you got the special edition Hifimans He1000se (Hexi's)

I suspect that would be your answer!
I was going to get the Serenade for mine, but was swayed by the positive Gustard H26 reviews. Still waiting for it to arrive, hopefully in the next few days.
The H26 seems like a very nice amp. 🙂 Looking forward to know what you think of it when you get it.

Oh absolutely. I'll keep you posted 🙂

I was thinking maybe I should get a nice pair of Mogami XLR interconnect cables for it, then it hit me, I already have that connected to my Singxer's SA-1 headphone amp (going to sell on eBay)!! 😀

Small and perfectly formed.

Got genuine sheep skin pads for my Hexi's.
Nice premium look. The inside side panels are perforated.
I heard from the other forums, these extend the bass frequency, I will have a proper listen.
If there are changes it will be subtle.
The pads came with a veil net screen at the base. The headphones already have this net screen and didn't want double layering because this would have added further dampening to the treble so I had to cut it out from the pads.
It is a bit of a fiddly to take out and fit on but once secured it's solid.

My Gustard H26 arrived today.
It's massive, it weighs a ton, beautiful, excellent construction, aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Remote control is a cheap plastic thingy, not really necessary.

I will put it to the test, the Singxer SA-1 had no problem driving my He1000V2's, the Gustard makes it effortless. I'm loving it so far 🙂

It's pure class A, I've ran it in for couple of hours and it's warm to touch, the heatsink is doing it job.

I'm sort of, working from home today....I couldn't resist putting the Gustard H26's to the test.
Playing some High Res(ish) Youtube Acoustic Jazzy music below 1764692386515.png

T'is truly magical, the word that comes to mind is vibrant. My old Singxer's never put a foot wrong, these Gustard's are all that and more, not boring, even though it's full balance pure class A.

Please please put your wallets away, not encouraging you to spend your hard cash....but on short outing these are sounding special. 🙂
