Searching the web for articles/info about KEF-speakers (egg-type) combining with DAC, I stumbled on this site.
I think I'll consult the forum regularly.
My main interests are music, spirituality - hence the title ;-) - and wining & dining.
Future questions may relate to:
- digitizing 78rpm, 33rpm and reel to reel
- homerecording on computer

Welcome Ludo.

Bear this thing in mind for the future:
WHF is reviewing its use as a phono preamp here, but it's a versatile little unit that would digitise your vinyl and tape reels.
It does a fair job plugged in to a PC as a headphone amp too.
Even comes with the (Audacity) recording software on a disc.
You're not limited to its built-in phono preamp either. It will take the output of any standalone phono preamp (or even one you might have in an integrated amp).

Thanks for that Gray.
The device looks interesting at first glance; I'll check it out in depth before actually taking on the digitizing project.
For the vinyl I assumed I could simply hook up the turntable to any hi-fi amp and consequently that into the line-in of the PC and Audacity?
Perhaps I'm being too naive - I'm not really technically educated, so to speak.

As a musician and Linux user, of course I already have Audacity installed ;)
