After many years of joy with my 9th gen Panny plasma, I'm thinking of taking the plunge into the world of projectors. Obviously, I've read WHF reviews, and have the usual Optomas and Epsons on my short list.
However, I had a guy round today who 'um'ed and 'ah'd when he saw my room.
So, I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a projector that would suit for a 5m long room (I would like to put the PJ on a shelf on the back wall -hence need a decent "throw"), and the room is quite bright with white walls and a large, south-facing window (this should only be an issue during long summer nights).
Finally, I'd like to spend less than £1000. This can be flexible if the situation dictates.
