I hope for his wallet's sake the 'culprit' is not the £1500 Primare amp :)
Well I hope for my knobs' sake that it's not a step backward (though it was only 300 quid).

hpw bout a music appreciation class?
This is a very good idea, and one which my friend has done with his ten-year-old daughter. "This week - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" - that sort of thing. And she's a better guitarist than me, disturbingly.........

What have you gone from and to, and where's the improvement? Something is telling me smoothness....

Creek Classic to Primare A20(ii). Now I've given it a pretty good shot - have got it set up about as well as I possibly can in my house (and so is completely impractical - wires everywhere - cd and amp sitting on the slate hearth - speakers where they'll never be allowed to go - so on and so forth, so this is probably the best it'll ever sound

)

And in terms of improvement..........added warmth without loss of detail; great imaging (thank god); sounds good quiet (big bonus); there's a live recording that just sounds like it's suddenly been completely set free (avoids use of word 'veil').

Wow - Schneider makes it 4-1............
