The Grado SR325i has changed colour. It is now SILVER not gold.

Hi,

Just received Grado sr325i's and nearly returned them after seeing the colour. I thought that they were the old 325's. I contacted Grado and they confirmed that the new version is now silver.

 If you need to check, look at the shape of the cups. The sr325i has two edges and the sr325 has straight cups.

If Grado don't change their pictures, I can foresee a lot of returns.

Any guys in What Hi-Fi able to directly compare the Gold with the Silver? I'm not sure, but from memory, there may e subtle differences. I used to have gold sr325i's a year ago.

Ian, you are a lucky chap, you've received the latest SR325 headphones at an 'old' price. The new silver SR325 will have a UK suggested selling price of £350 (inc vat @15%)

Hi Steve,

Do you know what has been done to them other than just the housing? The reason I ask is that I used to have a pair of 325i's but these seem to sound very slightly different. (Going by my memory of them)

I'm sorry, I didn't get a chance to hear the new ones. I'm please to report we've enjoyed a tremendous Christmas trading period with Grado and our January shipment was all pre-sold and went straight out the door (and you got one

). We're expecting another delivery soon and I hope to be able to audition a pair then.
