Yeah - I had a problem mid-type .... sorry - let's try again .....
OK - So half lion, half eagle .... my new Gryphon - Mikado Signature CD player !
I almost found out about Gryphon by accident and wish they had rather more coverage in the UK. Being from Denmark, they seem not to advertise over here and only have one UK dealer as far as I know - with them being in Scotland.
I compared this to other CD players from Moon [which would have matched my amps visually, but it wasn't to be] + Chord + Audio Research .... yet this player has a real magic about it. It injects 'life' in to everything you play and adds a live feel to recordings, even if it was done in the studio. It has a warmth and musicality, whilst still delivering drive and impact. Just what I was after then.

I doubt very much that WHF have reviewed it [yet !?!?!]
It wasn't in the past 2 high-end magazines they did - but I hope they may see fit to include it next time ... it certainly deserves it in my view!

Sonus Faber Amati - in Violin Red cost around £17k - or Graphite around £18k
Mine are the Palladio - Special Edition model [only 50 pairs made] and I got the last pair from the Factory - so you are unlikely to find a pair new, unless Guildford Audio still have their last/only pair. Full Retail is over £20k - but I think there was a deal to be had on that last pair - closer to the Violin Red price I think.

Well I must say there are fantastic looking speakers. I couldn't bare the thought of spending that amount on speakers, but I suppose it's all relative. Congratulations

Yea the guy is so passionate about hi-fi, i got my sugden from him about 7 years ago, if anyone wants to see TRUE HI-END hi fi then they should go along to his place.
