Thanks gel.

Well tv is set up and plugged in, and connected to the internet.

I can't test the freeview and freesat tuners because I have no aerial, and the satellite cable is plugged in my sky box.

I've got the picture set to thx cinema, and have turned the contrast down a little more. Only concern I have is the pixel orbiter is set to auto, and I can't change it in av mode, and I have to be in av mode for thehdmi input.

I'm not overly worried, as the contrast level is low, but I'd be happier if I could change it.

Now for the big issue, I have no buzz at all, can't hear a thing.

Total Digital doing the 50 GT50 for £913 again! That's some deal.

will john Lewis price match and deliver free?

From the delayed reply I got from JL about it last time, they will only match if TD offer a delivery service, or if you live near to Birmingham where TD are based. Looks like in store only, so if you're near to Birmingham, you've got a good chance of JL matching it, but be quick.

I got them to.

how did you - email/phone?

Phone. Or you can just do it Instore. I have done it both ways. Powerdirect are doing for £950 too

http://www.powerdirect.co.uk/product/PANASONIC-50-3D-NeoPlasma-FreeviewHD-Freesat-SmartTV-2500Hz-THX-TXP50GT50B

I would try the Total Direct route first though.

I've deleted the email I got back from JL, else I'd have copied and pasted for you.

It's worth trying as gel said, the worst they can do is say no.

Good luck.

Thanks. Did you get any glasses included? If not what model are they? Any chance you could do me a favour - could you possibly measure the distance between the wall bracket holes (left to right) on the back of the tv? I have a universal wall bracket.

Yes I got the glasses included but sold them. These are them

Cant quite work out where the holes are at the moment, I will come back to you on that one.

Okay got the manual and it states they are 400mm left to right. And 300mm down. That's the way I am reading it. That make sense?

Thanks. I see there is a 'claim 2 free pairs of glasses' too so I guess this applies no matter where you buy as the offer is from Panasonic.

They're good! The bracket instructions state as long as the tv measurements are less than 72cm (L-R) and 48cm (Top-Bottom) it'll fit.

Looks a good price, but again, in store only I think. They're in Ashton-Under-Lyne, so near Manchester.

gel, quick question. I sent off my e form to Panasonic yesterday for both offers, but still to receive an email confirmation.

Any idea how long it will take? Anyone else sent off for the offers?

Dont know. John Lewis just gave me the 3D glasses, I didn't do any forms. I can't remember doing any anyway.

No I think I would keep your Pioneer, unless you are having any issues or you if you want a bigger screen. Then it is tempting. Blu-ray looks brighter to me, than on lx5090.

BB, in my opinion, unless your Kuro is out of warranty, or has an issue, I would keep it.

My admittedly early impressions of the GT are that it's obviously a great tv, but, there are a couple of niggles I have with it.

Main one. is a motion thing, when a camera moves really quickly from one person to another. I'm sure this can be corrected when I find the best settings, but it's something the Kuro didn't do. Second niggle is very minor, the hdmi lead sticks out the side of the tv, so I need to change it for a right angled one.

No other problems so far, no buzzing that I have noticed, so that's one thing I don't need to worry about..

As your KRP was 2 generations after my LX, I'm sure your blacks will be well up with the GT too.
