Technics SL1500 vs Mission 778X Phono Preamp?

Hi, I've recently purchased a Technics SL1500 & a Mission 778X Amp. I'm wondering which phono preamp to use. The one built into the turntable, or the one in the amp? Thanks.

I doubt anyone here has heard that combination, and suspect that the best guidance is have a listen to both and see if you hear and difference. If you do, use whichever you prefer - that's really all that matters.

I'd agree with everyone here in that, since you have the opportunity to try both then do so.
Nobody here can tell you which is going to sound better to your ears.

Lovely Mission piece; reminds me of my original Cyrus One which is still going strong. I always trusted and enjoyed the amp's phono section, so I'd definitely start there and likely love it.

Good move. The phono preamp section of integrated amplifiers is almost always better than the cheap add-ons they fit to modern turntables.
