Is it any good? What does it sound like? Basically any feedback I can get on this. All read is that Technics CDP's sound harsh.

I like Technics CD Players, I've always had one somewhere in my system. that particular CDP I think most of it was made by Panasonic I have seen exactly the same deck with a Panasonic badge.

All the Technics CDP's I've ever had have lasted a very very very long time with little or no breakdowns! That particular one is solidly built like my old SLP-990. Very reliable players. 2003 I think this particular model came about although I could be wrong but even so I like all of Technics players really.

My SLP990 never broke down from new and it would read CD's / CD-R's pretty well, the remote was a bit iffy like but they have a more modern design now so the remote for the deck you are asking about should work nor problem.

I dont have any now as I am doing an upgrade at present and fancied something other than Technics for a change, BUT for my second system it is all going to be Technics possibly the SL-PG series CD Player.

They are pretty reliable players, and were great reading marked discs where other player would just give up. Decent buy if you can get it cheap enough. Just bear in mind you'll probably not be able to get them repaired any more, so don't pay too much.
