Want to buy a deck which allows tracks to be stored onto my laptop.

Seem to be two main options the Rega deck or the new Technics DP-200 USB.

Can anyone tell me if recording music from Vinyl to usb stick or directly to lapop, is easily transferable into my "I Tunes" programme..from either of these.

I tend to store all music in "I tunes" just for sake of ease..the new Technics deck looks to be my preferred choice based on cost and facilities but I am not sure how you would transfer from their own software into I Tunes. I know there are cheaper alternatives from Ion etc but prefer the quality of these two brands.

Anyone tried it...or more interestingly tried the technics deck.

Do you have a deck already? If so, the Pro-ject Phono USB or Terratec Phono USB will do the trick a bit cheaper - or you can add them to any deck you like if you don;t have one already.

But yes, record the vinyl to an iTunes-friendly format (AAC, mp3, ALAC, WAV) and you can import them into the library.
