I was wondering if anybody here is using this amp. I thought it would get more attention than it did, there's is a DAC present but the amplification is purely digital.

The successor (teac ai-501da) looks like a great amp too.

I had one for a week, quite nice, good range of inputs and the DAC is handy.

Well worth the £200 that Richer Sounds were selling them for (I got mine for £150 IIRC in one of their sales).

I thought it was good, especially for the price. It was intended for a second system but the Alternator on my car went in that week so as it was not being used in the main one I took it back. Felt a bit bad but richers were fine with it.

I'm using one in my living room together with a pair of Larsen 4 loudspeakers and I'm very happy with it.

I only have two small complaints:

1. The included remote is a bit cheap. I use a programmable remote instead.

2. It only has a single optical input, but I managed to connect another optical source by using a simple optical->coaxial adapter.

I also thought that.

Yeah, it looks great! (Both of my complaints have been addressed as well!)
