TDL Nucleus KV1

Just picked up a pair locally for the princely sum of £30, what a cracking little speaker.
They may not be the last word in accuracy, I think they're what reviewers would call "forward" but they sound great.
I don't know if its my system, my room or my ears but I think I prefer them to my B&W 601s. Bass in punchier although maybe not quite so accurate or controlled, vocals are easily as good and HF is far crisper but not at all tinny or tiring.
Maybe the best £30 I've ever spent. I'm amazed especially as I wasn't expecting much

Never heard of them, assume he has the name right... Or possibly not. The Nucleus2 and KV1 were standmounters so assume these are as well as KV6 were floorstanders.

Glad OP appears to have got a bargain though.

I was reading KV3 but really thinking RTL3.

Whatever they may be i agree the price is right. I'm sure Gaz is currently listening to them.

They're small standmounts.
2 way rear ported.
They have no right to sound that good

Gaz probably meant the KV1, which are all over ebay and gumtree. KV3 are floorstanders, higher in the range. I presumed it's KV1 from his description.

Maybe they are KV1s?
They look exactly like the ones in the link above.
I'll check when I get home, you'd think I could tell a 1 from a 3 wouldn't you but hey, what can I say lol
