Tannoy TS1201 vs B&W ASW610

The Tannoy retails for £420 whilst the latter for £450.

I wish to connect a subwoofer to the denon 2311. Which would be the better option?

And are there any new subwoofers being released soon, ie 2 months.

I have the B&W 685 Theatre with the ASW 610 Subwoofer and driven by my Onkyo 905. Movies are an enthralling and entertaing experience. I would recommend the subwoofer why not audition it at your dealer you will not regret it!

Nothing wrong with B & W subwoofer, as suggested by the previous poster.

If it were me, rather than using the Dali Ikon Centre, i would be getting a matching speaker 1st to go with the other Monitor speakers. This should give you a more cohesive sound stage & would blend a lot better with your other speakers.

thing is this...the ASW610 sells for £499 but what hifi retail it at £450...and the ts1201 goes for £420 and what hifi retail that at £600. you see my dilemma...i want the b&w but the tannoy should surely pack more value.

I would reccommend that you audition both subs at your local dealer and buy the best sounding one with your system. Thats what I did.
