Surround sound system for gaming

It has to be atleast 5.1. I will mainly use it for my 360, ps3 and Wii. I'd prefer to buy a set instead of receiver and loudspeakers separately. I don't need my amplfier to have radio and I don't want any bluray or dvd players to come with it. It does however have to have Hdmi in and out, preferbably 1.4. I hold the various sound modes such DTS, TrueDolby HD and so forth in higher regard than actual sound quality. It will be placed in a room that is about 8 feet by 14 feet and I'd like to have one of those microfon you use to place the various units for optimal sound. I sit in the back of the room with my consoles and my 40" Samsung UE40C8705 LED 3D TV in the opposite end of the room. It has to be so as I need atlest 6-7 feet of distance to my tv to enjoy the 3d effect. I'm planning to tour my local consumer electronics shops and hope to spend between 1000 and 2000 dollars, 600 to 1000 pounds and 6.000 og 10.000kr. Any suggestions?

well your ps3 will be able to play 3d blu-rays once the firmware update is released (shortly afaik) ..

so you dont need a 1.4 spec amp , the ps3 is 1.3.

id be looking at spending around £350 on an av receiver , id look at the denon 1910 and yamaha rxv765 , onkyo 607 etc ...

for the other £650 you could maybe just get a monitor audio br2av package ..

or the q acoustic 2000 for around £500..

just a few to throw into the mix anyway..

hmmm , im trying to think this through , if the ps3 sends the 3d blu-ray data to the amp over 1.3 , then can the amp send the visual data to the samsung over 1.3 ? i think so ? anyone care to comment ?

The 1.3 is able to transmit 3d upto 1080i (you need 1.4 for 1080p)

The amp I would go for is the onk 608, which has 3d pass through (1.4) its 450 in richer sounds. I had a DENON 1910 for 9 months and the onk 608 is better for movies and gaming, has a bigger spec / bigger punch is THX cert.

The denon is better musically, is better looking IMO. and better build quality, terminals etc
