I know we are changing over to hd tv, and have noticed that panasonic have now brought out a one box solution to go along side your tv, ie you only need two remotes!

With the new panasonic blu ray hdd/dvd/recorder with twin hd tuners, am I right in saying that it produces 5.1 surround or stereo which can be fed directly into a speaker system?

As more manufacturers bring out these sort of units will it become the norm to take the sound direct from this unit rather than the tv?

Thanks Andrew

Will they produce an all in one box with amplifier as this would limit the amount of remote controls to be used?

The Panasonic SC-BT200 is an all-in-one blu-ray home cinema system that has it all.

Except the Bluray recorder/HDD/Twin Freesat tuners bit!

Yes, except these. An all-in-one in the separates sense, i.e., blu-ray player, amp and speakers - that's what I meant.
