Steve, you had an Elys2 on an RP3 and I found that dull.

I still require some punch and tempo.

The Dynavector — except a certain forum member got there first ;)

So won't have it in my hands until next week…

Nah they said it would go in post tomorrow!

Anyway glad you gone for the Dyn 10x5 its really nice

It's a very noble offer Steve but I can't ask you to do it

Still unsure if it's the right choice — who knows — but it seems like the right choice

Steve — you said that you had to raise your arm? Does 2mm get it perfectly level? I like the idea of this as it's nice and solid http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rega-Point-Metal-VTA-Spacer/dp/B00782I24Y/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1375211562&sr=8-2&keywords=rega+vta

Yes that the same spacer!

In all honesty my arm is slightly arse down - however have a chat with keith its perfectly fine apparenty!

arse down - more bass

arse up - more treble

or something like that?????

Bill at Analogue Seduction advised me to get the 2mm spacer

Looks like its a threaded 2 piece collar to me. Guessing here , you slacken the bolts , grip the tone arm mount bit, then unscrew the collar thus raising the arm. Tighten the bolts so the threads lock together as well as bolting the arm in situ .

As I say just a guess.

Edit. Just had another butchers and I cant see how else it would work baring my stab at Floydie Instructions. Thats the badger I would buy if I'm correct and had to resort to a Rega ;)

Looking at all the Michell Engineering stuff — its beautifully made and so I presume so is this.

Even the tenderfeet I bought from them were lovely — and they were just feet!

You can always give Mich a call. Ask the old dear to put you through to the tech dept. Somebody will explain the ins and outs of it for you. Mich are always willing to help or give advice on their products.
