my receiver (onkyo '605) has said my wharfedale diamond 10.3 front speakers are 100 Hz so does this mean I should set the onkyos sub output at 100 Hz and set the crossover dial on the back of the sub to 100 and not 90 or have I got it all wrong !?

Hi Marc

Try setting the sub just over half volume with the crossover on the sub set at max and run the set up again see what you get.

A general rule of thumb is to set all the speakers to small with a crossover of 80Hz

Your 10.3's according to the web can go as low as 40Hz so you could maybe try them with a crossover of 60Hz leaving the others at 80hz if you have them options available on the amp.
