Anyone have an idea of what the ideal sub crossover "freqency", or what you call it, is for the q acoustic concept 20 speaker with a nad d 7050 amp and a dali fazon sub 1??

Any thoughts?

It depends on what the frequency responce of your speakers is and what frequencies can be heard at your listening position depending on the room acoustics.

The user manual should have the speakers frequency response listed in the technical specs. The lowest number in hz is where your speakers begin and gives an idea of where your sub should take over, but it does depend heavily on the room.

You really have to do it by ear, use 60-70 hz as a starting point on the sub. I would not filter the output on the D7050 in the first instance.

Listen to see what position gives the best transition, you are looking to get to that point where you don't really hear the sub at all, just your speakers sounding 'bigger'.

Once you have decided on the best settings, note them down then try with the rolloff on the sub set to it's highest frequency (150hz ?) and adjust the rolloff on the amp. It may give you a different effect.
