I apologise if this has been done previously, but after watching Pacific Rim that turned out to be a visual delight on my f8500, I am inviting people to recommend further blu-rays that make the most of our beloved systems, making our panels into stunning performers. So any further suggestions for blu-rays welcome.

Band of Brothers, Toy Story, The Hobbit, The Batmans, Slash Made in Stoke and Black Hawk Down. Most are pretty good to be honest.

My copy arrived the other day and I haven't yet watched it (I saw it at the flicks though). Both 2D and 3D versions in the box. Looking forward to watching it on the new F8000 tele 🙂

I've just finished the Bourne quadrilogy on blu-ray. Really superb picture quality (to my eyes), and especially compared to the DVDs (which I have as well). Throroughly enjoyed watching that lot.

Also watched Dark City on blu-ray. That totally wipes the floor with the awful DVD; the picture quality and sound are vastly superior to that abysmal effort. Looks amazing, and it's a very dark film, lots of black, shadows etc so it really tests your tele out 🙂

Has anyone seen After Earth, trailer looks good but it seems to have been slated by the critics & many film goers. Looks as visually it could be good too.

It's a dreadful film, I woudn't bother if i were you, the CGI is really poor as well, it definitely deserves the panning it recieved.

Yes, I saw it at the cinema, and it is without doubt the worst film I saw in the past year.

Saw the ads for that, but wasn't even tempted with Will Smith in it. The last decent film he did was Six Degrees of Separation  :silenced:

I only saw it as the screening I'd intended to go to was full up! I have a Cineworld Unlimited card, so it does mean I see a lot of films I wouldn't necessarily have done without it!

Good grief, what a cracking deal that is. Never even heard of that till now. Hope you pig out on as many fillums as you can fit in

A visually stunning film on blu ray.just turn the brain off and enjoy.i watched pacific rim,the great gatsby and the hobbit extended version on blu ray after that DVD was dead to me!
