Stream Magic 6 and Pioneer lx85

I run a Qnap 412 through the pioneer lx85 AV receiver but find it slow and not always reliable. Would I get an improvement if I ran the Qnap through the pioneer and then the stream magic 6?

Do you mean the other way round, Stream Magic first? I have no problems with my WD MyBook with the Stream controlling it. No experience of the QNAP I'm afraid

Depends on where the problem lies. If the problem is with your network, it won't solve your problem. How is everything connected? Any wireless connections?
