Sorry, not quite sure what you're asking?
Suspect he means changing from the 37PX80 to another screen will improve the blu ray experience from his BD35.As a Nouveau Riche Pioneer person can you say if he will get a return.I reply cos I have the same screen(Panny) and sometimes wonder if I can see the difference between my new panny EX79 upscaled DVD and Blu ray on my sons PS3.

Ah I see. To be honest, I haven't really done any comparison between the PS3 and the Sony 550 on the new Pioneer as I'm still just hooked on watching my Blu-Ray collection again. I'll try and get this done over the next few days and come back to you.

In terms of a difference between upscaled DVD and Blu-Ray on the Pio, I've yet to watch a DVD on it so again, will have to let you know! However, for me there was a pronounced difference between the two on my old Panny (42PX600) so I can't imagine it's going to be worse!

I cant comment on how it compares but after fitting a 16 core braided mains cable to my PS3 it looked and sounded FAR better than using the stock cable

Watched Star Trek on blu-ray this evening. Simply astounding picture and sound quality - this would be a great test dvd.

I enjoyed watching this again A LOT MORE than I did at the cinema a couple of months back - found it a real bore then.

What a difference to the viewing experience when picture and sound is a couple of notches up!

Sorry, I wasnt exactly lucid was i? Yes, i was wondering if i should expect to see much improvement with blurays if i had, say, one of the 42" panny plasmas...

Well, it's obviously going to depend on which TV you go for - I know the Panny's of late have not been as fantastic as those of old, but it's fairly understood that the bigger the TV, the easier it is to see the real difference between standard def and high def. Given this, yes, an upgrade in screen size will help, as should an upgrade to a Full HD screen, as opposed to an HD ready screen like the 37PX80B.

At the end of the day though, you really need to go demo these screens - it's what made my mind up.

Thanks for that.

I think it's a space ship actually I am not a Star Trek fan but on amazon.com it looks like there is a space ship that comes free with it- can anyone confirm this?
