I don't suppose anyone is using Spotify at the mo (?). I'm logged in at the moment. Everything was fine for the first few tracks, but now it's just stopped working. It's happened a couple of times now. I've just logged out and back in again. Working so far. I'll keep y'all posted...

All ok here - listening to Nirvana Live at Reading - no problems.

Switch it off & back on again - usually works.

Same thing happened to me. It said it couldn't work online. I have just reinstalled it and it's working again, so I would try that.

My main drop out time is in the evenings between 5ish and 9ish. After communication between myself Spotify and my internet provider, the blame was laid at BTs door and bandwidth throttling. I have got round that issue by going to the premium service and I download what I want to listen to first.

Sometimes Spotify just cuts out and you will see certain tracks going red and announcements appear that that music is no longer available in this country. As Spotify continually updates what music is available and what is licenced to play where this can cause temporary issues.

There have also been problems with Spotify and Mcafee, particularly when Mcafee decided Spotify was a virus and everyone got cut off. Though I have not heard of issue since, I have experienced some drop outs as my new firewall/virus protector does scans and updates.

It just goes a bit wonky sometimes, it is computer based after all!

Thanks for the feedback, guys. There's still alot to be said for owning a 'physical' copy of one's favourite music, I suppose. Having said that, I'm about to order up a Beresford 7510 and get signed up for a premium account with Spotify. I'm hoping that the combination of 320kbps/DAC/Grado SR60s is going to take my listening to another level compared to Sennheiser PX100s plugged into my laptop's headphone jack, which is how I'm listening at the mo.

.......ooooh yes! If you can squeeze to the SR80s, they dont get the attention but IMHO they are a real step up from the SR60s.

I've already got the SR60s, idc, bought them a while ago. So, I'm looking to squeeze every last drop of performance out of them. I know you've championed the SR80s in previous posts, it'd be interesting to get a few comments from the WHF guys (maybe they already have) as to why they don't get the gong over the SR60s.
