Hello all

Can you offer any advice /suggestion of speakers to go with the system above (all brought new last year). At present I am using some Monitor Audio R252 on big heavy black metal stands - at least 20 years old.

I am looking for something to suit a wide variatey of music - dance, rock, blues, folk (Faithless, Groove Armarda, Joy Division, Led Zep, Pink Floyd, The Levellers, Radiohead, Interpol, White Stripes, Robert Johnson, Alan Lomax etc etc). Design being a little more discrete than the big '80s boxes would be useful.

Well I'll give you my opinion before drummerman comes in with his (we're both right

) - in order of price - AVI Neutron IVs, PMC DB1+ (there may be some good deals around, they've just been replaced), ProAc Tablette Reference 8 Signature. All are tiny, all will surprise you.

If you're feeling really flush, I really like the look of the Wilson Benesch Square One as well...........

Over to you, 'man.

You _must_ try the Rega P5s. I've heard them on the Mira3 and Apollo and it was fantastic. Very distinct sound, some say boxy or thin, but I say very focused and beautifully controlled. Failing that, def add PMC to the shortlist, the FB1s if you can stretch to the price tag.

Having said that, you probably don't have a strong enough amp for the FB1s...but the smaller ones are good!

I would look at Rega own R series or Revolvers superb new musicseries 3, they sound amazing.
