I'm planning to get a Dared MP5 to use as an iPod player. I'm considering speaker options. Domestic considerations means the speakers need to look good as well as sound good. Would the KEF IQ1's or IQ10's be suitable? Needs to be something other than big brown rectangular boxes.

With only 13 watts output the suggestion would be to go for sensitive speakers, but here is an extensive review that suggests otherwise;

So if you like the look of the KEFs go for it. Better still since ipod and dock are easily transportable, take them to a friendly dealer and get them to set up various speakers for you to test. They would probably be as interested as you in hearing how it sounds.

anyone heard tthe cambridge audio SL30's? they look quite good and seem pretty sensitive. not readily available here in HK but will speak to CA's dealer
