What about Tannot DC6T for £539 in espresso from exceptional-av.

I have Rega RS5s which I have used with Yamaha av amp but they are tricky to position if you can't get the side clearance. I might have gone for the tannoys if they'd been that price then. Colour would have been a better choice for missus.

Good luck at the show.

Ideally demo at home, only then will you know how they sound in your home.

Also try Monitor Audio BX5 or BX6 and Q Accoustics 2050i.

I home demoed Rega RS3's and the Tannoy DC6T's when the Tannoys were £699 (RS3's were £780).

On balance the RS3's matched my amp better and were more musical, but the Tannoys felt like they wanted to party

Had both sets each over a weekend, this is the best way to demo speakers before you take the plunge.
