Speakers for Marantz M-CR502 all-in-one

I'm thinking about upgrading my speakers for my Marantz M-CR502 all-in-one (currently using the pre-packaged Marantz speakers - any views on these btw?). I'm willing to splash £500, but would this be excessive for the Marantz M-CR502? I'm only interested in getting bookshelf speakers - no floorstanders.

Sorry if I'm repeating myself, but I really quite liked B&W CM1s with the M-CR502.

As with all things, audition for yourself. You might wan't something with a bigger cabinet that can give deeper bass.

Thanks ID. They look like they could be a good option. Added to my shortlist. I'm happy to settle for somewhat lightweight bass - don't want to annoy the neighbours too much 🙂

I noticed that the CM1s aren't listed in the latest What Hi-Fi buyer's guide. How comprehensive is this guide? Clearly not the the bible I thought it was (though very, very useful nonetheless).
