I would strongly suggest shortlisting the KEF R100, R300 and R500. Buy the biggest of the three your room will take but a home demo is essential in a room that size.
I've heard the R300 with the Leema Elements and it has the same synegy with the Leema as my R500s, I'm assuming the R100s will have the same family sound.
Good luck, you're in for a treat.
If you are after warmer sounding speakers you could try and demo Pmc db1i bookshelf speakers .I run these through a leema pulse amp. They have a lovely rich sounding tonal quality.I demoed these side by side with kef ls50 and much prefered the pmc sound.I would recommend demoing first if you can and see if they suit your tastes.domenn said:inbox4 said:I have a Leema Elements Amp and find it to be fantastic. Hi , not many people here own Elements amp , thank You for response . I"ve never considered KEF speakers maybe cos I don't like the way they look .
I like more that old school design but R100 would fit my bill and space as well . I'll keep an eye on ebay . How about LS50 ? is there any big difference in sound ? Are R100 or R300 warmer sounding speakers ?
