Hi, I've got a setup i'm pretty happy with at the moment, pm6002 and tannoy F1 floorstanders, also connect up 902i's to go around room, but moving into new house at uni next year and all that is going in living room for music, tv, ps2, xbox etc, so was looking for some small speakers i could just plug straight into my laptop to go in my room. I've had some before but they were awful, so wondering if anyone knew of any reasonable ones? Thanks.

What's your budget? If they need to be small, the simplest option would be some powered speakers like the Audioengine A2s - despite their size they give a big sound, can actually go loud enough to give a decent sound in my living room which is some 17' by 14'...

I think £100 probably top of my limit when my student loan comes through, obviously being put to good use! or if i win one of my multiples bets this weekend i guess skies the limit! but those look good, cheers. I'm just looking around and comparing at the moment.

Have a look in the Logitech range. I have a pair of their £30 USB speakers which work fine and the mm50 ipod speaker dock, which also produces a good sound.
