Speaker stand height for book shelf speakers?

Tweeters need to be ear-height (when seated).

mostly you're talking 18" stands with medium-sized speakers or 24" with smaller ones.

So raising the front of the speaker, throwing the tweeter up toward the ear would improve listening. What is the best way to achieve that?
