Speaker settings on the amp?

Hi guy's,

Im playing with a Onkyo 875 av amp and a Wharfedale Evo serie surround setup.

My question: all these speakers are 6 ohm and on the receiver i have set these settings on 6/8 ohms.

I have read that when all speakers are 6 ohm, you better set the receiver on 4 ohm.

Is this right?

Any help is verry welcome.

You have the amp set correctly for your speakers. Changing the amp to 4 ohms just lowers the power output on the amp slightly.
