Speaker problem

I have a marked imbalance from my left to right speaker with the left one much quieter than the right even when balance control fully goes to the left hand speaker it still seems to make no difference

Have you swapped the speakers round?

Swap your left and right speaker cables over, and see if it's the same. If the problem moves to the right speaker, then you have a problem with the amplifier.
