Speaker matching

I've a pair of 9 year old fab floorstanding B&W P4s and contemplating changing my existing amp and CD to something more contemporary than I have at present. Looking (as so many seem to be) at the Cyrus/Roksan offers in the £700-£1000 range for each. What would be the best sonic match up?

I'm a 70s guy. Plenty of Floyd, Genesis etc. Occasionally prone to full on rock music but definitely none of that dance music stuff.
