Speaker Impedance Setting.

I've just got my Pioneer AX3 Amp up and running with a set of Eltax Liberty 5+ Surround Speakers and the rating on these is 4-8 Ohm. I've changed the Amps default setting of 8 Ohm to 6 Ohm, basically, have I done the right thing? Also there is a button on the remote for a Hi Bit setting, when is that to be used? Sorry if these questions are a bit basic, but it's my first set up.......Thanks.

Either the 6ohm or 8ohm setting will work fine

And Hi Bit is a kind of audio scaler or upsampler prorietary to Pioneer - see manual pages 6 and 52.

I would not worry about using the Hi-Bit. In my experience with this receiver this mode has had little impact. Try it though and see....
