Speaker dilemma (or should that be trilemma?)

I have three pairs of speakers: Mission 773e, B&W601S2 and Gale GS301.

The last pair I bought in the late 1980s and I thought were great (my first proper hifi), but they need at least new bass drivers. The 773s have suffered some damage and need one new bass driver, and the B&ws are absolutley fine.

My problem is that I am not sure what to repair or replace. I use a MF XA-1 amp and a Marantz CD63MkII and the room is not the greatest acoustically, i.e. square-ish approx 4m x 4m and with wooden floor and lots of glazing down one wall. I have a hankering for the 601s, but that involves buying stands and then deciding what to do with the 773s/Gales.

Any opinions would help.

Thanks.

Hi, I think best to keep the speakers that work. i.e. the 601's and get some stands for these. Try and sell the other that don't work or are broken for spares/repair or give them away.
