It must be handy having a grill on your speaker. You can have a toastie while listening!

d'ough ;)

No, that would be a pizza oven.

You're on fire today, Trev. *biggrin*

[/quo

No, that would be a barbecue.

No, it would be a pyre

You haven't been to one of my barbecues!

*ROFL*

I think it's a pity we don't see more of your humourous side.

I know, that's what's so funny....I have sympathy (and I don't say that very often).

There are some speaker manufacturers that design their speakers with the grills as an integral part of the design and insist they are going to to sound 'correct' with these in place. Most, however, are there solely to protect the drivers.

Mine come off for a more serious listen but then go back on after I'm done.

All correctly tended and adequately fuelled BBQ's are exactly the same.

Are you suggesting that your burgers will taste* the same irrespective of the type of charcoal (or gas)?

*That's assuming burgers have discernible flavour

I think you'd have to seriously take the quality of the interconnect (spatula) into account to prove this...

Hmmm... I actually think it looks good, hence I never take the ATC metal grill off.

SteveR750 said:
Er, have you seen the new ATC metal grille???

OFFF!! I'm with Colin, drive units are a thing to behold, especially when you can see them move from several feet away!

Sadly on when not listening, after all they are designed for a purpose, and that tweeter sits proud of the front baffle. They are held on magnetically, a very weak magnet, so nothing to stop a child, nay a cat dragging them down the front of the cabinets, ripping the nose off the tweeters on their way. Audiophiliacs with young families be warned.

No, because charcoal smoke has a taste.

I was lucky enough to go to a Braai a couple of years ago. Made me realise just how much us Brits don't know about BBQ-ing. The things you guys can do with fish.....

That's just expectation bias 'coz you know it was cooked with charcoal.
