After some searching I have finaly purchased naim 122x/150x combo for my rs5 speakers (fingers crossed). Now I am trying to get some cable for the speakers. I have read some reviews that SC42 is not bad, but lack some bass compared to naca5. It would be interesting to hear any comments on different type speaker cables for naim and rega setup.

I listen to jazz/rock/blues... bass and drumms are quite important to me 🙂 !!!

Thanks!

Yes, I have already blown my money on amp and speakers! At the moment I am looking in the range of 15-30£ per metre.

I used Merlin IRC6 speaker cable and certainly found it had a very positive impact on my previous system, especially the bass so it may suit. John at Merlin is very helpful too, great service!

(There is some on ebay at the moment)

NACA5 without a doubt. Matched to the Naim amps, make sure you get equal lengths of at least 3.5m and get the dealer to solder the connections that came with your amp on.

Bliss.

I'm awaiting delivery of my Uniti tonight

. (its handy when the shop manager lives on your road!)

My dealer quoted me £15 p/m inclusive terminations for the NACA5 which seems to be the norm everywhere.

Never used it before but everyone says its good stuff and a must for Naim gear. It's not very user friendly I believe, but once you've managed to bend it into position it tends to stay there so I've been told.

.

Its not that user friendly in that it is quite stiff. apparently you can get it to bend round corners by using a hair dryer to soften it slightly.....I've never tried it and not sure whether it is a valid tip . But honestly for Naim amps there is great synergy with the cable. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks! I will definetely go for naim cable now and also buy a better hair dryer... just in case 🙂
