Speaker Cable advise please

Hi again,

Just looking for some advice. I had my Yamaha 863 and Kef KHT 2005.3 delivered (eventually!!) yesterday. Unfotunately being new to this I discovered that it doesn't come with speaker cable. My Sub will need a 5 meter cable and I need about 50 meters of cable for the speakers.

With the recession kicking in since I bought the amp and speakers my budget is almost blown. What sort of oxigen free starand cable should I get? Is 189 strand too much?

I was advised by one shop to purchase the QED Micro Cable. I notice that it is 79 strand would that be sufficent or should I go for something better?

That will be fine, and if you can afford Qed XT for fronts and centre . Also Qed psw 6 mtr's sub cable for £39.99. And save money by just terminating one end of speaker cable for the amp, makes it easy to fit, and less chance of a shortage.
