speaker cable advice

Hi All,

i have a roksan kandy LIII CDP and an arcam a70 amp currently with some quite old (15yrs) speaker cable (cable talk i think but not sure - budget grade anyway) into some Epos M5i.

can anyone recommend come speaker cable and would i notice any difference!

not looking to spend more than say about 80 quid...

I dont think you could go wrong with the Chord Carnical Silverscreen or the QED Silver Anniversary cable.

The Chord cable can be got on eBay currently and factory terminated as well for a very good price

£80 - how long are the runs?

Are you gonna b-iwire (assuming the speakers are bi-wirable)? Are there any areas of your sound which you would like to address?

speaker runs only need to be 1.5m max.

speakers are biwirable, would this give improved sound?

as i tend towards female vocalists for most of my listening i would say improved mid range would be a goal but generally i am worried that the cable i have now is so old ...

I didn't initially notice much difference between the QED Silver anniversary or the Chord Silver Screen, but think that the QED is slightly leaner than the Chord (and maybe as a result i think more detailed, although i don't feel i'm currently missing anything).
