Hi All,

I have the following at the moment:-

Onkyo 606 amp, with Tannoy R1s at the front, a tannoy mcmx center and a pair of quite old Kef Coda 7's at the back...

i was thinking of palcing some Tannoy custyom F1s at the rear (would this be a good fit??) and then adding a sub, which would be better?

Warfedale diamond SW150
Epos ELS sub
or a tannoy sub (TS10)?

what do you guys think?

I'd keep the Coda 7s to be honest, unless you're desperate - for starters I think the Mercurys are quite a bit bigger than the R1, so might look a bit out of place. And I stuck my Coda 7s on the end of my Primare recently and they sounded fabulous (yes, I was astonished too).

Dunno about subs, but I think Andrew recommended the Wharfedale recently to somebody else.

The Epos Els along with the M Sub was recently available discounted from superfi. I got the M Sub to replace my REL Q100E which in its day was the be all end all of subs. Though it had to be replaced once for a fault in transit I have never looked back. These along with MJ acoustics Pro 50 mk II are on paper the only subs that can delve deep enough to be worthwhile. I think the Wharfedale however good would still be lacking by comparison.
