Sound from TV through Receiver

Hi,

Is it possible to have the sound going through my Denon receiver instead of my tv when watching freeview. I have a Samsung UE46B8000 and the speakers a terrible.

Yes i do all the time, i never use my tv speakers.

Maybe i should be a little clearer. When i say watching freeview i will be using the tuner inside the TV and not a seperate box, so the sound would go from my tv to the receiver.

Thats exactly what i mean, i have an optical cable going from my tv to the amp, everytime i switch the tv on it automatically switches the amp on.

No thats vision (sound) going to the tv not from the tv, you need either optical or rca/phono from the tv to the amp.
