sound display has changed

Hi,

I am playing Blurays in a PS3 using an optical cable to my Pioneer surround, but blueray are showing up as playing in Pro-logic , they were playing in Dolby digital, but normal DvDs are playing in Dolby Digital,

any ideas why this is?

Is it just with one disc? Is the soundtrack set to stereo in the menu?

No its with all the bluray disc's, don't know about the settings.

Which Pioneer receiver is it?

...and what settings are you employing on both the PS3 (sound settings & BD/DVD settings etc.) and the amp?

its an old old about 4-5 years now,has no HDMI, set the PS3 to output from optical, and ticked all the boxes after that.
